‘Nothing is impossible. The word itself says ‘I’m possible’!’ – Audrey Hepburn

Cancer. It is so scary that the word itself can instil fear.

If you or someone you care about has been diagnosed with cancer it is quite likely that, along with the physical effects of illness and treatment, they will also be experiencing a mixture of strong negative emotions: fear, anger, anxiety, tension and depression to name but a few.

These negative feelings are bad for our health even at the best of times. Negativity can create stress, deplete the brains ‘happiness’ chemicals, and even damage the immune system.

Recovering from cancer can be a tough enough experience and the sufferer can notice a benefit from reducing the negative feelings, manage their thoughts in a more helpful way.
