Jo prepared and delivered a group mental health awareness presentation to the local community on behalf of the Sky Sharma Foundation. The presentation was well informed, thought-provoking and full of lots of valuable information including nutritional help. I feel it really helped our group on the whole for a few reasons; information as such isn’t provided in such detail on external mental health platforms and there were significant differences highlighted in the presentation amongst what mental health is and what mental illnesses are alongside a lot more. Jo is very clear and concise about the service she provides and I felt she plays a key part in aiding the cause.
I have struggled with my weight for years and years, I found Jo and went to see her, and I have not looked back, my whole attitude towards eating and exercising has changed, I feel fitter and slimmer than I have for years, and with no hunger pangs, I now eat so healthily and it shows! I’ve dropped over a stone and a half so far and feel so much better for it, Jo has supported me all the way, Thank you so much Jo!
I had been suffering from stress/anxiety attacks in the form of occasional but severe stomach and back pains for five years before I made contact with Jo. Originally diagnosed as a gall bladder issue, I had undergone surgery initially to remove my gall bladder. However, once the pains returned soon after the surgery, and specifically as soon as I returned to work, it became clear that the issue was related to stress. Various medications did nothing to improve matters. Two six-week courses of counselling followed but had no effect, before I bit the bullet and contacted Jo with a view to trying hypnotherapy. It was the best decision I could have taken.
The difficulties of the previous five years had caused significant changes to my normal life, including changes to my work pattern and not travelling far from home if I was going out alone. Now, having completed a course of hypnotherapy and life-coaching with Jo, I am in the best place I have been mentally for years. The techniques I have been taught by Jo have been put to good use and they work; and my entire mindset is different now from how it was previously. In addition, some long-held difficult memories relating to a personal issue I encountered many years ago have been addressed and overcome. It’s time to move on and leave that all in the past.
I know other people who suffer from stress – most, like mine, related to work – and I have recommended Jo to some of these people. Any doubts I had at the outset about the use of hypnotherapy have been completely eradicated, and I would have no hesitation in recommending Jo to anybody who is suffering stress or anxiety-related difficulties in their life.
Jo helped me conquer my fear of open water swimming and helped me achieve my goal of completing my first Olympic distance triathlon. With Jo’s help I was able to turn open water swimming into a pleasurable experience by working on breathing techniques and visualisation and positive mantras. Previously my fear was so great that I really thought I wouldn’t get through the swim. I’m over the moon to have now achieved my goal and can now continue to enjoy open water swimming. Thank you Jo!
I had been smoking for 35 years and had previously been to two different hypnotherapists to stop – neither of which worked. I have known Jo for a while and she had suggested that I try hypnotherapy with her to help me to stop smoking.
Having successfully used self-hypnosis on myself for other problems I wasn’t sceptical about hypnosis and therefore agreed. After a three-hour hypnotherapy session with Jo (she told me to continue smoking right up to the time of the session as well!) I have not had a cigarette or felt the need for one either. That was six months ago.
Not only do I now save money by not buying cigarettes, I have also gained time during the day by not going outside to just have a smoke. I am also told that I smell so much better (as do my clothes). I can also run now without getting out of breath!
I would happily recommend Jo to anyone who is finding it difficult to stop smoking on their own as she has helped me no end.
Having tried conventional therapy to try and combat anxiety and panic-related issues for some considerable months to no avail, I found Jo and was struck by the immediacy of relief and change which she induced both through a combination of NLP and hypnotherapy. She has an incredible ability to put you at ease, help you clearly identify and work through your difficulties and for me personally discover a renewed positivity for life and its direction, so much so, I’m now looking into NLP for my own personal development ! Before meeting Jo, I was suffering with several anxiety-induced issues including; feeling unable to return to activities (gymnastics and contortion) which I love (which I had to take a few months off of due to illness), feeling anxious about applying for jobs and issues around food. I looked into hypnotherapy as I felt that these issues were too deep in my unconscious mind to just “get over” and I came across Jo. She helped me to banish any negative voices in my head that were telling that I was not capable of this or that and that I should not eat certain things. She also coached me through the job application and interview process. I am now happy to report that I have a job in a field that I am passionate about, I am back doing my gymnastics and contortion (and loving them!) and I’m feeling more relaxed around food. Most importantly, I am in a much happier

Before meeting Jo, myself and my husband had been trying for a family for years and we had already tried a number of medical and holistic therapies that hadn’t given us success. We were starting to give up hope.
I’d heard hypnotherapy was successful and wanted to give it a try. I researched and called a few different hypnotherapists and I instantly felt a good feeling from Jo. Her enthusiasm and instant belief that she could help gave me such a boost.

Thanks to Jo I have my dream job. For years I have suffered with interview nerves. But I attended a couple of sessions with Jo and she gave me the confidence and calmness that I needed with stressful interview situations. As a result I not only have my dream job but I also have the tools to deal with any similar challenges that life might put in my way.
I only had one session with Jo. That’s all that it took! I suffered with a fear and Jo was able to pin point my problem and deal with it in such a caring, calm way! It took me 10 years to try to deal with this fear but it only took an hour of Jo’s time and now I’m back on track. Jo was amazing and I would highly recommend her to anyone.
I had stress-induced eczema for three years. Although my G.P. was very supportive, referring me to two dermatologists who provided some initial relief in the condition. However, the condition persisted arrhythmically and could not be shaken off. After a few sessions with Jo, I managed to improve my skin to the point that I was no longer reliant on prescription preparations; people have commented on my improved skin tone.
Following on from the above, I am pleased to report that I haven’t needed to put any cream on my hands for weeks now. Also, and equally importantly, I have become more focussed and more confident socially. My dance teacher and sports coach say that I’ve made massive improvements in the New Year. I now realize that this is mainly due to the positive mental attitudes instilled by Jo. Therefore, I have no hesitation in recommending Jo to anyone who needs help in any type of situation which can be addressed by her advice .
I was anxious and overactive in everyday life situations that didn’t warrant the levels of anxiety I felt or the behaviour I would display. The sessions helped by giving me techniques which I could use to control, analyse and then rethink the way I was feeling. They also helped me to relax which is something I rarely do. Overall I now feel that I am much more in control of my anxiety with a few simple techniques I am able to take control of the way I feel on a day to day basis.
After my very first session with Jo I found that my outlook towards alcohol completely changed. I came to realise that I could enjoy myself much more without the need to binge drink and currently apply the same train of thought to many aspects of my life. As a result I have now seen a huge improvement in both my physical and mental health so am eternally grateful. I had quite literally hit rock bottom for the second time in five years. Having heard it all from various councillors and help groups, someone recommended Jo to me. I have to say that from the first meeting I felt that I had found someone with empathy for how I felt. Jo allowed me to talk, but didn’t let me spill everything out all in one go, which a lot of councillors do and sometimes it leaves you feeling ” what was the actual problem in the first place”? We take one problem at a time and work on it. I would also like to say that I felt so at ease with Jo.
After several years of binge drinking, when I went to see Jo I was at my lowest point. After a short time with Jo, I found I was able to enjoy a social drink with friends (something I hadn’t been able to do for a very long time) – no more sitting alone at home, drinking to excess to numb my pain. I had lost direction, I was drifting, looking in all the wrong places for answers, mainly in the past. On my first session with Jo she gave me a technique to rid myself of the ghost of girlfriend past and to realise that my romantic past is not the key to my romantic future.
Over the next sessions Jo has made me think in a different way about how to live my life, from changing work habits, (bad to good) to making me understand that only I control my future and it will be won’t be found in my past.

Jo really takes the time to understand your needs and wants. I had a broken heart. It sounds silly but I had lost nearly two months of my life and could see no end to it.
Time with Jo is not all fluffy clouds though, you do have to face some hard facts. Jo is there with you though so you have someone to help you deal with your fears and emotions.
The techniques are wonderful, I cry and I laugh with Jo. She’s always got your back. I have a new heart and am very happy.
I was 17 and could barely walk when I met Jo.
I got diagnosed with two chronic pain conditions (Fibromyalgia and Ehlers Danlos) last year and had a really bad flare up in January which resulted in hospitalisation. From there my condition was continually getting worse. Because of how bad my pain was I would stay in bed all day. I was unable to walk more than a couple of meters without someone supporting me and would collapse multiple times a day. I would shake when I walked, every step took all the energy I had, and would cause me mass amounts of pain.
I went to see many medical professionals, tried different treatments and medications. Nothing worked. Then I met Jo and at the end of the first session she told me to try to walk, I got up and was able to walk across the room on my own the way I did before I got ill. Now every day I am able to walk a bit better and do a bit more. My pain is nowhere as bad as it used to be and I’m able to go out more. Jo changed my life and has been the most important part of my recovery. I don’t know what I would have done if I hadn’t of met her.
My partner and I would like to thank Jo for everything she has done to help us get through some rough patches in our relationship. Going to coaching with an open mind really helped us be open and honest with the ways each of us could better the way we thought about things/handled certain situations/ spoke to each other and Jo allowed us to capture the most important aspects and improve the issues we were experiencing. We both agree Jo helped us when we needed it the most and we are forever grateful.
I also had coaching with Jo on my own and it has changed my life and the way I handled some personal decisions in my life. Dealing with guilt and upset and my emotions and anxiety. “When I first met Jo, I was feeling extremely overwhelmed. I had recently found out that my wife was pregnant, we were in the middle of moving house, we were getting married in the summer and I had a demanding job.
